SDAE 2016 Annual Dinner Details

We’re pleased to announce the details for the 2016 SDAE dinner and business meeting. The event will take place on Sunday night, November 20th, at the JW Marriott Washington DC in the Grand Ballroom Salon III. We will start with drinks and a reception from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and then continue with dinner and our program from 8:30pm to 11:00pm.

We will present our Lifetime Achievement Award to Vernon Smith, plus have our usual presentations of best book and best article prizes and recognition of the Lavoie Prize and Menger Contest winners, as well as Edward Stringham’s presidential address and our business meeting. The cost of this year’s dinner is $135 ($100 for students) and includes membership in the SDAE.

The menu and entrée choices:

Farmers Market Salad

*Red Wine Braised Amish Chicken with Mushrooms, Bacon, Pearl Onions, and Roasted Garlic Whipped Potato
*Filet Mignon with Roasted Fingerling Potato, Onion Jam, and Merlot Sauce
*Pan Seared Rockfish with Peppadew and Olive Relish and Soft Polenta
*Chef’s Vegan Selection

Individual Chocolate Mousse

A cash bar will be available during the reception and dinner. All attendees will receive one drink ticket for the bar.

Please respond by Friday, November 4th to ensure that we can give the hotel an accurate count. If you do not make an entrée selection by that date we will select the Amish Chicken on your behalf.

To save time at the door, payment in advanced is strongly encouraged. Details on paying via PayPal (preferred) or check are included on the registration site.
